A global maker of casino and online games, Light & Wonder builds the slot machines, electronic card shufflers, and social and internet gaming software found in casinos and on phones around the world. Its roots stretch back to 1917, when an Australian firm invented the racetrack totalizator, and it grew through the Scientific Games lottery business and the purchase of Bally and WMS. The name came in 2022 after the company sold its lottery division and decided to focus purely on games.
