Shapeways Holdings Inc

A 3D printing service and marketplace where designers, engineers, and hobbyists upload digital design files and have them manufactured in materials ranging from plastics to metals. The company was born in 2007 as a spin-off from Royal Philips Electronics' LifeStyle Incubator in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and later moved its headquarters to New York. Its name is a portmanteau of "shape" and "ways" — a nod to the many ways people can shape their own creations.
