Shoe Carnival Inc
A family footwear retailer that sells athletic, casual and dress shoes, boots, sandals and accessories for men, women and children, stocking national brands like Nike and Adidas across its Shoe Carnival and Shoe Station store banners. Founded in 1978 in Evansville, Indiana, when David Russell opened his first store as "Shoe Biz." He dreamed up the playful "carnival" concept: upbeat jukebox music, an open self-service floor, and staff announcing flash specials over a microphone like a showman — hence the name.
