A maker of the electrical components that carry power from solar panels to the grid, Shoals Technologies Group builds the cables, fuses, combiner boxes, and monitoring gear used in solar farms, battery storage, and EV charging stations. Founded in 1996 by Dean Solon as an automotive parts supplier, the company pivoted to solar in 2002. Its name comes from its longtime home in Portland, Tennessee, where its headquarters sits on Shoals Way.
