Si-Bone, Inc.
A maker of titanium and bone implants for the sacroiliac (SI) joint, where the spine meets the pelvis. Its iFuse line of triangular, 3D-printed titanium implants is used in minimally invasive surgery to fuse that joint and ease lower-back and pelvic pain. Founded in 2008 by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Mark Reiley, who also invented kyphoplasty, the company's name simply nods to its focus: "SI" stands for sacroiliac.
