Sirona Dental Systems Inc

A German maker of dental technology whose roots reach back to 1877 in Erlangen, it became Sirona Dental Systems in 1997 when Siemens sold its dental division. It is best known for the CEREC system, the world's first chairside CAD/CAM tool that lets dentists design and mill ceramic crowns in a single visit. The name honors Sirona, a Celtic goddess of healing and hot springs. In 2016 it merged with DENTSPLY International to form Dentsply Sirona.
