Sogou Inc

A Chinese internet company best known for its search engine and the hugely popular Sogou Pinyin input method, the typing software that lets Chinese speakers type characters with a standard keyboard. It began in 2004 as the search division of the internet firm Sohu, was spun off as its own company in 2010, and became a wholly owned subsidiary of the tech giant Tencent in 2021. Its name literally means "searching dog," a nod to a loyal hound sniffing out information.
