Southwestern Energy Co

A natural gas and oil exploration company that drilled and produced fuel from major U.S. basins, including the Appalachian Marcellus and the Haynesville Shale. It began in 1929 as the Arkansas Western Gas Company, a small utility piping gas to homes in northwest Arkansas, before growing into one of the country's largest natural gas producers. In 2024 it merged with Chesapeake Energy to form Expand Energy, one of the biggest natural gas companies in the world.
