Star Holdings

A real estate company created in 2023 when iStar Inc. spun off its legacy commercial properties and loans while merging its ground-lease business with Safehold. Star Holdings manages and sells those remaining assets, including the Asbury Park Waterfront and Magnolia Green residential developments. Its name echoes its roots: iStar began in 1993 as Starwood Financial, a public vehicle for Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Capital Group.
