A nationwide distributor of propane and other energy products, delivering fuel for home heating, cooking, water heating, and backup generators to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the United States. The company traces back to 1928, when Mark Anton installed a propane system in his own New Jersey home after discovering the neighborhood lacked gas lines — then began doing the same for his neighbors, giving the business its "Suburban" name. It became the first propane distributor listed on a U.S. stock exchange in 1945.
