A Beijing-based provider of online adult education, Sunlands helps working adults in China earn diplomas and degrees through preparation courses for the Self-Taught Higher Education Examination, plus professional certifications in fields like accounting and human resources. Founded in 2003 by Peng Ou as an offline school, it moved fully online in 2014 and now teaches through a "one-to-many" live streaming format. The company was renamed Sunlands Technology Group in 2018, having previously gone by Sunlands Online Education Group.
