Swedish Match Ab (publ)

A Stockholm-based maker of smokeless tobacco and fire products, Swedish Match produces the General brand of snus, the tobacco-free nicotine pouches ZYN, Cricket lighters, and cigars. Its roots reach back to the 1915 Swedish tobacco monopoly and a 1917 match company, and it took the name Swedish Match in 1980. The company's heritage traces to the safety match, invented by Swedish chemist Gustaf Erik Pasch in 1844.
