Switch Inc
A builder and operator of massive data-center campuses, Switch rents out space, power, and cooling so businesses, cloud providers, and government agencies can house their servers and keep the internet humming. Founder Rob Roy started the company in 2000 and later bought a former Enron fiber-optic facility in Las Vegas at an auction where he was the only bidder—a site sitting right on a major fiber backbone that became the first of its famous SUPERNAP data centers.
