Athena Technology Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" company, that raises money from investors to find and merge with a private business and take it public. Launched in 2021 by Isabelle Freidheim and Phyllis Newhouse, it became one of the first all-women-led SPACs and later merged with Heliogen, a concentrated solar energy firm. Its Athena name nods to the Greek goddess of wisdom, fitting a platform built to bring more women into finance.
