Tcw Special Purpose Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm created to raise money and merge with a private business to take it public. It was formed by The TCW Group, the Los Angeles asset manager whose name once stood for Trust Company of the West, and it aimed to combine with a company in technology, healthcare, industrial, or consumer fields. Incorporated in Delaware in late 2020, it never completed a merger and dissolved in 2022.
