Tastemaker Acquisition Corp
A blank-check company, or SPAC, that raises money through an initial public offering with the goal of buying or merging with a private business to take it public. It was co-founded in 2020 by restaurant veterans David Pace, a former CEO of Jamba, and Andy Pforzheimer, a co-founder of Barcelona Wine Bar and bartaco, and was named "Tastemaker" to reflect their eye for standout hospitality brands. In 2022 it struck a deal to merge with jewelry distributor Quality Gold, a deal the two sides later called off.
