Teck Resources Limited

A Canadian mining company that digs up copper and zinc from mines in Canada and Chile, supplying metals used in everything from electrical wiring to batteries. It began in 1913 as Teck-Hughes Gold Mines, a gold operation in northern Ontario, and grew into one of the world's largest zinc producers. The name "Teck" comes from the township where it started, which was named after Princess Mary of Teck, the future Queen Mary of Britain.
