A maker of software that lets advertisers and agencies buy digital ads across connected TV, video, display, audio and out-of-home screens with data-driven precision, rather than guessing. Jeff Green and Dave Pickles founded it in 2009 in Ventura, California, naming it after the "trading desk" where media buyers work — their cloud platform is that desk, giving buyers transparency and control. Its laid-back beachside headquarters is famous for employees surfing at lunch under green leaf-shaped canopies.
