Thunder Bridge Capital Partners IV Inc

A blank-check investment company that raised money by going public to hunt for a business to buy. Founded in 2021 by investor Gary Simanson, it searched the fintech world and landed on Coincheck, one of Japan's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, merging with it in 2024 so the combined company could trade on the Nasdaq. The "Thunder Bridge" name is a private invention of Simanson, who has run a whole series of these ventures under the same brand.
