Tiger X Medical Inc.
A medical technology company founded in 1994, Tiger X Medical invested in medical devices before becoming a corporate shell. In 2016 it merged with BioCardia, a regenerative medicine firm developing cell therapies such as the CardiAMP system to treat heart failure, and the combined company took the BioCardia name. Its "Tiger" name reportedly carried no deeper story — it was simply a corporate designation.
