A builder of luxury homes, Toll Brothers designs and constructs single-family houses, townhomes, and high-rise condominiums across the United States, including active-adult communities for buyers 55 and older. Founded in 1967 by brothers Bob and Bruce Toll in suburban Philadelphia, the company got its start when the pair built two colonial-style homes and, instead of selling them, used them as decorated model homes to showcase designs for other lots. The brothers followed in the footsteps of their father, Albert, who was also a homebuilder.
