Triangle Capital Corporation

A lender to mid-sized businesses, Triangle Capital Corporation handed out "mezzanine" financing and other capital to smaller companies that needed cash to grow. Founded in 2003 and based in Raleigh, North Carolina, it was named after the state's famous Research Triangle region. It later reinvented itself as Barings BDC in 2018 after bringing in a new investment adviser.
