Atrion Corp
A maker of medical devices used in hospitals, Atrion produces single-use valves and components for infusion, cardiovascular, and eye-care fluid delivery, sold to other device makers under brands like Halkey Roberts. Its roots trace to 1968, when Frank Ryder started a medical products business behind a pizza shop in Chicago, later moving to Alabama to make contact lens cases. The company took the name Atrion in 1993 when Allen-Simmons Corporation merged with Cardiovascular Products.
