An American online real-estate marketplace that helps people find homes and apartments to buy or rent across the United States, offering property listings plus neighborhood maps on amenities, schools, and pricing. Founded in 2005 by Pete Flint and Sami Inkinen, it got its name as a playful twist on "true" to signal honest, transparent housing data. In its early days it even scraped listings in New York, where formal databases were hard to access, and it now operates as part of Zillow Group.
