Tupperware Brands Corp

A maker of airtight plastic food-storage containers and a whole line of kitchen tools, cookware and on-the-go bottles, most famously the classic bowls with the "burping" seal that keeps leftovers fresh. It traces back to 1946, when chemist Earl Tupper molded lightweight bowls out of polyethylene slag, a waste product from oil refining, and named the brand after himself. Sales really took off after saleswoman Brownie Wise turned it into the Tupperware party, home demonstrations that let buyers see the seal work firsthand and gave thousands of women flexible work.
