Aurico Gold Inc
A Canadian gold and silver miner that mined for precious metals and explored properties in North America, operating the Young-Davidson gold mine in Ontario and projects in Mexico. The company began as Golden Rock Explorations in 1986, was renamed Gammon Lake Resources and then Gammon Gold, and took the name AuRico in 2011 — a blend of "Au," gold's chemical symbol, and the Spanish word for "rich." In 2015 it merged with Alamos Gold in a "merger of equals," folding its mines into the combined firm.
