An online learning marketplace where anyone can teach or take courses in everything from coding and data science to marketing and personal development, used by individuals and by businesses through its Udemy Business arm. It was founded in 2010 by Eren Bali, Oktay Caglar, and Gagan Biyani, inspired by Bali growing up in a small Turkish village where he taught himself math online and went on to win a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad. The name blends "you" and "academy," a nod to its tagline as "the Academy of You."
