U.s. Xpress Enterprises, Inc.

A trucking company that moves freight by the truckload across the United States, U.S. Xpress runs one of the country's largest asset-based truckload fleets, hauling everything from groceries to industrial goods for businesses nationwide. It was founded in 1985 in Dalton, Georgia, by friends Max Fuller and Patrick Quinn, former partners at a family freight company, and later moved its headquarters to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The pair started with a fleet of 48 trucks serving the region's carpet industry—a nod to the founders' family roots in freight—before growing into a national carrier.
