US Airways Group Inc
US Airways was one of America's major airlines, flying passengers across the country and around the world before it merged into American Airlines. It began life in 1939 as All American Aviation, a Pittsburgh airmail carrier, and later became Allegheny Airlines, rebranding as USAir in 1979. A fun quirk: after America West bought the airline in 2005, the combined company kept the US Airways name, but its planes used the radio call sign "Cactus," a nod to America West's desert home in Phoenix.
