Voxx International Corporation
A global supplier of automotive electronics, consumer electronics, and premium audio gear, Voxx International owns and licenses brands like Klipsch, RCA, Jensen, and Viper. It began in 1960 as Audiovox, when founder John Shalam pivoted to car radios after an ordering mix-up left him stuck with 2,000 of them — he sold them all by mailing samples to a dozen companies listed in the Yellow Pages. The company renamed itself Voxx International in 2011 and became part of Gentex Corporation in 2025.
