Vanguard Scottsdale Funds

A legal trust that serves as the umbrella for a family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) run by The Vanguard Group, mostly bond funds like the Short-Term Treasury ETF (VGSH) and the Short-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCSH). The trust was set up in 2008, and its "Scottsdale" name refers to the legal structure rather than any Arizona location. The parent firm, founded by John Bogle in 1975, took its name from HMS Vanguard, the flagship of Admiral Nelson.
