Avangrid Inc

A maker of electric and natural gas utilities across New York and New England — Central Maine Power, NYSEG, and Rochester Gas & Electric among them — Avangrid also runs one of the country's largest wind power portfolios. It was born in 2015 when the Spanish energy giant Iberdrola merged its US utilities with UIL Holdings. The name blends "avan" (forward) with "grid," and the company is a partner in the Maple Ridge Wind Farm in upstate New York.
