Versum Materials Inc

A maker of specialty chemicals and gases used to manufacture semiconductors, Versum Materials supplies the etchants, slurries, and delivery systems that chipmakers use to pattern and polish silicon wafers. The company was born in 2016 when Air Products spun off its electronics-materials division into a standalone business, and it was later absorbed by the German science and technology company Merck KGaA in 2019.
