Viela Bio Inc

A biopharmaceutical company focused on treatments for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, Viela Bio was spun out of AstraZeneca's biologics arm, MedImmune, in 2018. Its lead medicine, inebilizumab (sold as Uplizna), treats neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the optic nerves and spinal cord. The company was later acquired by Horizon Therapeutics in 2021.
