Wabco Holdings Inc.
A maker of braking systems and safety technologies for commercial trucks and buses, Wabco supplied air brakes, stability control, and driver-assistance systems to vehicle makers worldwide. The name comes from the Westinghouse Air Brake Company, founded in 1869 by George Westinghouse, the inventor of the railway air brake. After decades as part of American Standard and later Wabtec, Wabco was spun off as its own company in 2007 and was later acquired by the German auto supplier ZF in 2020.
