Wmih Corp (mr. Cooper Group Inc.)

A mortgage company that services home loans for millions of American homeowners and also originates new mortgages under the Mr. Cooper brand. The company traces its roots to Washington Mutual, the giant savings bank that collapsed in 2008 during the financial crisis; its successor emerged from that bankruptcy as WMI Holdings and later renamed itself Mr. Cooper Group. The friendly "Mr. Cooper" name was chosen to make the mortgage business feel more approachable, and the company is one of the largest home-loan servicers in the country.
