The Whitewave Foods Company
A maker of plant-based and organic foods, WhiteWave produces the Silk line of soy, almond, and coconut milks, Horizon Organic dairy, International Delight creamers, and Earthbound Farm packaged salads. It began in 1977 as a dairy cooperative in Boulder, Colorado, and took its name from the soy milk brand it created in the 1980s; after years under Dean Foods, it was spun off as its own public company in 2012. The "WhiteWave" name itself comes from that original Silk-era soy milk brand.
