Williams Partners L.p.

An energy company that moves and processes natural gas, operating a network of interstate pipelines, gathering systems, and processing plants that carry gas from wells to homes and power plants across the US. It grew out of the Williams Companies, founded in 1908 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, when brothers David and Miller Williams started a pipeline-construction firm and later built one of the country's largest gas pipeline systems. The "Williams" name honors those two founding brothers, who started by laying pipes before the family expanded into owning and operating them.
