Wilmar International Limited
One of the world's largest agribusiness groups, Singapore-based Wilmar International processes and trades palm oil, edible oils, sugar, rice and flour, selling consumer brands such as Arawana cooking oil across Asia. Founded in 1991 by businessman Kuok Khoon Hong, it grew from a modest palm-oil trader into a global commodity group. The founder is a nephew of Robert Kuok, the 'Sugar King of Asia' who built the Shangri-La hotels, linking Wilmar to one of Asia's most storied business families.
