A fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in cooked-to-order chicken wings, tenders, and sandwiches hand-tossed in signature flavors, with thousands of locations worldwide. It was founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, by Antonio Swad, who had earlier built the Pizza Patrón chain, and named "Wingstop" to signal that wings were the main event, not a side dish. The restaurants are decorated in a nostalgic 1930s and 1940s pre-jet aviation theme, complete with propellers and vintage memorabilia.
