Worldpay, Inc.

A payment processing company that helps merchants accept credit cards, debit cards, and digital payments in stores and online. It began in 1997 when Nick Ogden built an online multi-currency payment system, and the name "Worldpay" reflects that global, multi-currency focus. In 2018 the British firm merged with the American processor Vantiv, whose roots reach back to a 1971 Fifth Third Bank division, and the combined company kept the Worldpay name.
