A maker of surgical implants and bone-graft materials for the upper and lower extremities — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, feet and ankles. It traces back to 1950, when Memphis orthopedic salesman Frank O. Wright noticed patients in leg casts suffering back pain from hard steel heels and invented a cushioning rubber "street heel." That first product grew into Wright Manufacturing, later renamed Wright Medical, and the company was acquired by Stryker in 2020.
