A Chinese maker of electric cars and SUVs, Xpeng builds vehicles like the P7 sedan and G9 SUV that blend smart-driving software with battery power. Founded in 2014 by tech entrepreneur He Xiaopeng — who earlier created the UCWeb mobile browser — the company is named after its founder, a common practice in Chinese tech. Xpeng's cars feature voice-controlled in-car assistants and driver-assistance systems, and it was among the first Chinese EV startups to list on the New York Stock Exchange.
