Co-founded in 2007 by David Steinberg and former Apple CEO John Sculley, it began life as XL Marketing before rebranding to Zeta Global. The name Zeta, the sixth letter of the Greek alphabet, was chosen to signal the company's role as a hub for data-driven marketing.
