A Netherlands-based producer of nitrogen fertilizers, methanol, and hydrogen, whose products feed farms and chemical plants around the world. The company grew out of Orascom Construction Industries, the Egyptian conglomerate founded by the Sawiris family, and was spun off as its own listed business in 2013 — the initials "OCI" simply carry over the old Orascom Construction Industries name. Its production sites span the United States, the Netherlands, and Egypt, and its fertilizers help grow staple crops while its methanol goes into everything from plastics to fuels.
