Fagron
A maker of customized medicines, Fagron supplies the raw ingredients, creams, lotions, and syrups that pharmacists and hospitals use to compound personalized prescriptions for individual patients. Founded in 1990 in Rotterdam by Ger van Jeveren, its name abbreviates the Dutch phrase "FArmaceutische GRONdstoffen," meaning "pharmaceutical raw materials." Once part of Omega Pharma, it became independent in 2007 and now operates in dozens of countries as one of the world's largest compounding firms.
