Its roots trace to a Texas entity formed in 2001 that merged with Navidec, Inc. in 2004, and it was incorporated as BPZ Resources in 2007. The company brought the Corvina field into commercial production in December 2010 before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015.
