Air Canada

Canada's flag carrier and its largest airline, Air Canada flies passengers and cargo to more than two hundred destinations across six continents, operating big hubs in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver as a founding member of the Star Alliance. It began in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines, a subsidiary of the national railway created by Parliament, and officially renamed itself Air Canada on New Year's Day 1965. Fun fact: the new name was chosen partly to embrace Canada's bilingual character, since French speakers were already calling it "Air Canada" years before the change became official.
