Holcim AG

A Swiss maker of cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and building solutions like roofing and insulation, used in construction projects around the world. It began in 1912 as a cement plant in the village of Holderbank, Switzerland, and its name "Holcim" blends "Holderbank" with "cim," the French word for cement. In 2015 it merged with French rival Lafarge, briefly becoming LafargeHolcim before returning to the Holcim name in 2021.
