Angel Pond Holdings Corporation

A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) — a blank-check firm created to take a private business public through a merger. Angel Pond Holdings was formed in 2021 by Theodore Wang, a former partner at venture capital firm Sequoia Capital, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2022 it agreed to merge with HT Aero, the flying-car unit of Chinese electric vehicle maker XPeng, in a deal that would bring the air-mobility startup to the public market.
